Middle Age And Other Mistakes A great site with a lot of info and some fun too. But don't just take my word for it - click on the button and try it!
ELDERS-
-WISDOM
Here's something you might want to check out. It's a website that describes a new book being compiled that's filled with stories from GEEZERS...not only can you tell your story but you can get paid for it! Take a look.
GARFIELD
H.S.
If you're an alumnus (or a relative or friend of one) of Garfield High School, then you should take a look at this extensive and well-done website. The school is long gone but still fondly remembered by many.
SUDDENLY
SENIOR
This is probably one of most comprehensive and complete websites for geezers that you'll ever find. You could spend hours going through all the information, tips, links, and fun stuff. Try it!
MYWAY If you have one of those special "home" pages like "My Yahoo" then you might want to take a look at this alternative. There are NO ads, NO popups, NO garbage, and as an added bonus, their free web-based email is very fast and reliable.
James Coates
Computing Columnist
Here's most easily understood computing expert we've ever run across. He has a common-sense way of answering questions, and we've never seen him stumped. (Note: he's in the Chicago Tribune and you'll have to do a free easy signup, but it's worth it.)
COPPER.NET
ISP
If you've ever considered changing ISPs, here's a good choice. The Big Geez has had a lot of different ones through the years and this is the best he's ever seen! Less than half the cost of AOL or MSN, and much better than other low-priced ISPs. (Copper.net is even recommended by CNET.)

Don's Music If you like music, you should visit this website. It has zillions of songs, mostly oldies - but not all - and there are some that you never see elsewhere. Oh yeah, and it's free!

ShopGoodwill
Auction Site
Everybody knows about Ebay, but did you know the Goodwill organization has a national auction site?
Google Features A lot of people use Google for searches, but you might not know about how it can be so much more. Click on the button at the right for more info about how to use it for all kinds of things. You'll be surprised at what it can do.
DIY Forum
Home Advice
Here's a place that the Head Geez found helpful lately. (Plumbing problem - don't ask.) It's a forum that has all kinds of info about practically everything in and around your home.
FREE SOFTWARE
NAME THE BIG GEEZ'S TWO CENTS WORTH MORE INFO
Stickies Note Program A very useful little free program. It gives you the ability to write virtual post-it notes and stick them on your computer screen. Has a lot of features including making the notes semi-transparent,  and even has an alarm function to remind you to look at your note!
Mozilla Firefox
Web Browser
OK, 88% of you (down from 92%) use Internet Explorer because it came with your computer, but there is something better and it's free! It will take a little time to learn, but give it a chance and you'll never go back to that old one.
Mozilla Thunderbird
E-Mail Program
A lot of people are using Web-based E-mail these days, but if you're still doing regular E-mail, then you're probably using Outlook Express. Thunderbird from Mozilla is better, it matches up nicely with Firefox, and it's free too!
Picasa
Photo Program
Here's a great FREE program you can download, that will really organize all the pictures you have on your computer. It's backed by Google and is really well done.
FxFoto Another very nice FREE photo program. It's as good as Picasa even in the free version, has more ways to touch up photos, and also has an optional upgrade to a deluxe version that adds even more features.
AVG
Anti-Virus
A very good FREE anti-virus program. If you have the kind you've paid for - and you keep it updated - then stick with what you have, but if you don't, then this one does a good job.
